 Holocaust Memorial, Berlin

Holocaust Memorial

Designed to commermorate the murder of 6 million jews in WWII, this is a really emotional place and leaves a lasting impression. The slabs undulate in a wave-like pattern. Each is a five-sided monolith, individually unique in shape and size. Some are only ankle high while others tower over visitors.

 

Reichstag

The Reichstag

A must-see (ir's free) on any visit to Berlin is the Reichstag, the German seat of power/parliament building. The view over Berlin is incredible and you're only a short walk from the Brandenburg gate.

Berlin TV Tower

Is one of the tallest buildings in Berlin and you can actually see over the entire city when you visit the tower and its restaurant/bar. A truly extravagant way to view the city. Simply catch the train, jump in the lift and soar above the city - An excellent site on a clear day!
