Press, Media & Sponsorship
I work in the media and need some information about ILOVETOUR.co.uk
If you have any specific media related enquiries, please direct them to: media@ILOVETOUR.co.uk
I want to become involved with ILOVETOUR as an associate sponsor, commercial partner or supplier.
We work with a wide range of businesses, from nightclubs and bars, to suppliers of sporting goods or retailers of any FMCG's and can offer a huge range of opportunities and product placements. Please contact us on media@ILOVETOUR.co.uk with your contact information and a brief overview of your products/services and how you'd like to partner with us and we'll contact you.
My sports club or team would like to be sponsored by ILOVETOUR.co.uk
We have sponsorship arrangements with many clubs and teams around the UK and Ireland. Our sponsorship arrangements range from full club sponsorship to just donations towards your social budget. Naturally all our partner clubs and Universities are well looked after when they travel with us!
If your team would like to be considered for sponsorship please note you must apply before the end of July, during the summer preceding the start of the new university semester. Email us at info@ilovetour.co.uk with an overview of the club's membership size, activities, website, the number of teams you run, your touring habits and an idea of what unique, interesting or exciting promotional opportunities you can offer ILOVETOUR as your club sponsors.
TourWatch
What is TourWatch?
Please visit the website at www.TourWatch.org for more information.
If one of our teams are banned by TourWatch from an event run by one of ILOVETOUR's compeitiors - are we banned from ILOVETOUR too?
Yes, afraid so. Banned from one, banned from all. TourWatch was born out of our collective frustration as tour operators of the one or two groups who ruin it for everyone else!
If one of our teams are banned - will the rest of the uni get banned too?
No. You won't be banned automatically just because you represent the same uni. Unless one or more of those teams/clubs/sports were all involved in whatever it was the offending team did to get banned!
Group Leader Advice - Sports Tours
I have been made tour secretary/chairman and I need to organise tour - what the hell do I do now?
Contact us for a chat! Our sales team are in and out of unis all over the country and we're always happy to meet with group leaders and give them help and advice! Work out which of our tours fit your holiday dates best and call us with any questions. You should definitely request a copy of our brochure, it's very pretty.
Do I get a freebie?
We give double free places if your team has there deposits in before 10th November 2009, so for every 20 people who come the 21st go for free. After that deadline we give one free place per 40 paying passengers. So get 40 people to go with you and as the 41st you go free. Get 80 people? 2 Go free (you get it now)...
I am an elected sabbatical officer/ administrator/student activities officer representing my university. What can you do to make my life easier???
We know exactly what your job entails and how often organising tour can be just one more unwanted hassle on top of a whole load of other unwanted hassles. We're the preferred tour operator for the majority of UK uni’s because we take the hassle away from you and guarantee peace of mind that your students will enjoy the best week of their life in a safe, structured and controlled environment.
We provide all the necessary paperwork in terms of safety management and due diligence. We're more flexible on payment deadlines when dealing direct with the university direct- just talk to us and we'll do our best to help you out!
We are always happy to drop in and answer questions/chair meetings/send you posters/brochures and anything else you need.
As the sabbatical officer/activities officer you automatically qualify for a free sabbatical/officer tour place, IN ADDITION to any tour places your group qualifies for on 1:20 and 1:40 as explained above! We only offer one Sab/Officer freebie per uni, so you'll have to fight it out with your colleagues in the SU Activities and Sports office!
I am not group leader but I have a question about our tour
Please address your questions to your group leader/club captain/tour sec. if possible, we will always try and help answer any questions for individual tourists, but the likelihood is that we will have told your group leader/given him/her the information already.
I am a group leader and I have a question about our tour
Most questions are answered in our 2009/10 brochure - so please check there first if you have a question. You can call us free on 08000 328550 or email us for help on info@ilovetour.co.uk
Click here for our Group Leader Advice/FAQ from our 2009/10 brochure.
I keep reading about tour operators going bust! Is this going to happen to ILT.co.uk?
Not likely! However, should the unthinkable happen we are fully bonded with ABTA (the Association of British Travel Agents) and ATOL (Air Travel Organisers Licensing). Click here for more information on our financial protection.
Employment & Repping
I'd like to work as a sports referee/umpire/official but I am not qualified...
I'm afraid we are only able to use sports officials with up to date qualifications and some experience of officiating over adult competitions. If you regularly referee/umpire BUCS competitions this is fine- but we will need you to hold a qualification! Click on our 'Work for Us' page to download an application form.
Reps?
We rely on our army of awesome, committed, lively, indefatigable reps (resort representatives) for the success of our events. If you'd like to apply, please click on our 'Work for Us' page to send in a PDF application.
Is it too late to apply?
No, probably not. Most of our recruitment is done during November and December- but it is still worth getting in touch in January, February and March in case we still have a few vacancies!
Will I get paid?
Some of our senior positions are paid. It's not megabucks - just some spending money. If you want to be considered for a senior position: e.g. Senior Rep or Tournament Director, make this clear in your application!
Online booking
Our online booking system is very simple to use for group leaders and tourists alike. We've designed it with the following aims:
- Save group leaders time and effort.
- Allow easy large group management, 24/7.
- Make it easier and quicker for tourists to pay.
- Automate payment reminders and messages from group leaders to their groups.
- Avoid the hassle of bounced cheques and tour accounts
Once you've registered yourself as a group leader and entered your party details we will:
- Call you back and check you're happy with everything you've booked.
- You can then tailor your homepage; even upload a logo or image and a banter profile for your tour party.
- We'll then activate your group area. You can now log in and either enter email addresses for your party members one at a time or just upload them as a CSV/Excel doc.
- Your mates/students will receive an e-invite with a link to the group. They just log in and pay what they can, when they can.
- At deadline time, we'll send your group a reminder to make payment or risk cancellation.
- We close the group and you enjoy the best week away you have ever experienced!
If you have any questions about the online system, call our office and talk to one of the ILT team. We're happy to accommodate offline bookings of course, just let us know your preference!
